“My Handsome Boy”
“My Handsome Boy” is an experiment in animal portraits. I wanted to see if I could make a digital portrait with a timeless quality, and I’m happy with the result: he looks very splendid and the background works perfectly.

Tree of Light
I’ve always seen this wonderful tree in the garden as the Tree of Life but I wanted to describe it in terms of light and shade and colour. So I experimented with different layers to give the impression of its qualities, and renamed it The Tree of Light.

Orange Camera Club
I will be talking to the members of the Orange Camera Club on Tuesday 4th October at 7PM. I will be covering both the work that I do now and what I did in my professional life (now ancient history!) when I managed the photographic department of George Patterson Pty Ltd, the big adveritsing agency. Illustrated with works past and present and with 4 of my large digital prints: Evolutions in Time – Harmony, Hope and A Lifetime and Living with Pixels – China Doll.

Australian Morning
I could tell you that it’s me enjoying my early morning coffee, but it’s not. It’s my cousin Jen in the UK appreciating her new “Australian Morning” Zazzle mug by Images from Manor Hill (that’s me) featuring my pet kangaroo, Chloe. Jen hasn’t yet met Chloe but has followed all her adventures. Jen is a textile artist and the creator of The Warrior to be found in my All in The Family category.
